Wet Rot
Wet rot treatment is usually less expensive to eradicate than Dry rot, as eradication of fungal growth is much more simple and does not normally require chemical treatment. Eradication of moisture sources, promoting a dry environment and timber replacement will still be required however.
Our surveyor will carry out a thorough inspection to assess the extent of the wet rot, and will decide whether there is a need for chemical treatment. The surveyor will also:
- Check for sources of damp that led to the rot.
- Check for associated problems such as other rot (dry rot), damp and insect infestation.
- Inspect other areas that may be at risk.
- Provide the most cost effective solution to your problem.
